🕯️IFS and Secure Attachment

Secure attachment, in IFS, isn’t an achievement — it’s a felt knowing inside the system that connection is safe. It’s what happens when enough parts trust that love won’t disappear when they show their truth.
A vigilant part may still check for rejection.
A dependent part may cling, fearing loss.
A distant part may hold back, protecting from pain.
IFS doesn’t force security — it cultivates it.
“Which parts already know how to trust?”
“Which parts still remember love as risk?”
As Self builds steady relationship with every part, the inner world becomes a model for outer bonds. Others no longer determine safety; the system carries it from within.
In IFS, secure attachment isn’t earned through perfection — it’s discovered through presence.
