🕯️FS and Self-Worth

Self-worth in IFS isn’t earned — it’s remembered. It lives beneath the burdens, beneath the stories that told your parts they had to perform, please, or perfect to be loved.
A striving part may measure worth by achievement.
A caretaking part may base it on usefulness to others.
A shamed part may believe it has none at all.
IFS helps these parts see the truth:
“You don’t have to prove your value.”
“You’ve always been worthy — you just learned to forget.”
As Self leads with calm, curiosity, and compassion, the parts begin to rest in that truth. Worth stops being a prize to chase and becomes the air the system breathes.
In IFS, self-worth isn’t conditional. It’s essence — it’s the knowing that every part, even the most burdened, belongs in love.
