In IFS, a support system isn’t only external — it’s internal too. It’s the web of relationships both outside and within that remind each part it doesn’t have to face life alone.

• A protector may insist, We can’t trust anyone.

• An exile may ache for connection but fear rejection.

• A caretaker part may give endlessly while never receiving.

IFS widens the lens:

• “Who in me allows support?”

When Self leads, connection becomes safer. Parts that once isolated begin to reach outward again, and external relationships grow richer because the inner ones are healing.

In IFS, a support system is more than people — it’s presence. It’s knowing that inside and out, you are held.
