SIKHISM COURSES

The Ten Sikh Gurus
Instructor:
(your anchor and narrative course in one; the succession story from Nanak to Gobind Singh is dramatic, moving, and carries the entire theology inside it — this is the course a curious outsider actually enrolls in)

Japji Sahib
Instructor:
(the morning prayer of the tradition, recited daily by millions; verse-by-verse structure makes perfect lessons, and its opening question — how is truth realized, how is the wall of illusion broken — is a trailhead in a single line)

The Guru Granth Sahib
Instructor:
This is your Team Member description. Use this space to write a brief description of this person’s role and responsibilities, or add a short bio.

Gurmat: Core Sikh Teachings
Instructor:
(rename Sikh Philosophy to this, and build it around haumai and the Five Thieves — see below, because this is where the treasure is)

The Five Thieves
Instructor:
(kam, krodh, lobh, moh, ahankar — lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego. Sikhism teaches that five forces rob the soul of its connection to the divine, and they are, almost one-to-one, a catalog of firefighter and manager energies. A course meeting one thief at a time, asking what each one is protecting, is the most natural IFS integration in the entire Sanctuary, possibly better than anything in the Christian shelf. Nobody has built this. You'd own it outright.)

The Five Thieves Journey — 10 days.
Instructor:
Two days per thief: day one meets it honestly (where does anger run my life, what does it steal), day two befriends it (what is this protector afraid would happen if it rested). The arc ends not with conquering the thieves but with the Sikh insight that they lose their power when the Self, not the thief, holds the house. This is the flagship, and the only Sikh journey I'd launch with.

The Naam Journey — 7 days.
Instructor:
Built on naam simran, remembrance of the divine name. Each day pairs remembrance practice with meeting a part that forgets: the busy manager, the distracted firefighter, the exile who stopped believing anyone was listening. Contemplative, gentle, and a natural second offering if the shelf shows life.
