Sacred Reflection

Al-‘Adl is not the judge.

He is the scale.

He is the weight that always feels true in your chest.

The knowing that something was off,

even when the world said it was fine.

He is not the law twisted by power.

Not the courtroom that silenced your story.

He is the original fairness

before it was corrupted.

In Sufi knowing, Al-‘Adl is Divine harmony,

where every act is in proportion,

every soul is seen whole,

very wrong is answered in a way

that does not add more harm.

This is not justice as punishment.

This is justice as restoration.

He does not balance scales by adding weight.

He lifts the too-heavy side.

He restores what was stolen,

even when the world has forgotten it was missing.

And perhaps most precious of all,

He is just with you.

Even when you are unjust with yourself.

He does not let your harsh inner sentences

become the truth of your soul.

He sees what you did, yes.

But He also sees what you carried.

What broke before you ever chose.

What you never asked for,

but lived with anyway.

His justice holds the whole truth.

The one that says,

“No one believed me.”

“I wasn’t protected.”

“Maybe I deserved it…”

Let that part be met now by Al-‘Adl.

Let it hear:

I saw it.

I remember.

I never called that right.

And I will restore what was taken.

Let this part feel that justice does not always roar.

Sometimes it mends.

Let it feel:

I will not let your pain be erased.

I will not let your story stay unfinished.

You are not crazy.

You are not overreacting.

You are being heard

by the One who defines fairness itself.
