Sacred Reflection

Al-Baṣīr sees what no one else stays long enough to notice.

Not just your actions,

but the intention beneath them.

The fracture beneath the defense.

The ache behind the anger.

The little child behind the mask.

In Sufi knowing, Al-Baṣīr is not surveillance.

He is not divine inspection.

He is divine presence through vision.

He sees what you do in the dark and does not turn away.

He sees your failures and does not withdraw.

He sees the parts of you that even you don’t want to see

and stays with them,

gaze soft,

breath steady,

never blinking.

This is not the gaze of punishment.

It is the gaze of belonging.

He sees you fully and loves you still.

And more, He sees what’s possible in you.

What you have not yet stepped into.

The good that lives under your shame.

The soul that still shines through your scars.

Al-Baṣīr sees the truth of who you are

even when you forget it.

What part of you believes it must hide?

The one that avoids the mirror,

blames itself for being seen,

or fears exposure more than death.

Let that part be met now by Al-Baṣīr.

Let it hear:

I see you, and I do not flinch.

I see all of you, and I remain.

Let it feel:

There is no part of you

that is too ugly to be held.

No action too shameful to be seen in love.

No wound too deep to be met with eyes that heal.

You can be fully visible

and still fully wanted.

The One who sees you

has never turned away.
