Al-Ḥakam (ٱلْحَكَمُ)
The Impartial Judge, The Bringer of Justice, The Final Arbiter
Pronounced: al-ḤA-kamRoot: ح-ك-م (Ḥ-K-M) — to judge wisely, to decide with precision, to govern with fairness and clarity
Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلْحَكَمُ
Sacred Reflection
Al-Ḥakam is not a judge who punishes.
He is the Judge who understands.
He does not rule from partial evidence.
He does not deliver justice based on appearances.
He sees the whole story.
He knows the wound that came before the choice.
He knows the exile that formed the behavior.
He knows the part of you that was just trying to survive.
In Sufi knowing, Al-Ḥakam is the divine balance between mercy and truth,
never bypassing pain,
never harsh with the heart,
always ruling with eyes that see both cause and consequence.
And here is His miracle:
His rulings do not condemn.
They restore.
He judges to realign,
not to shame.
To say:
This part of you is out of harmony.
Let Me bring it home.
When others judge to exile,
He judges to bring close.
When others make you choose between justice and compassion,
He shows you they are not opposites.
He does not deny your wrongs.
He simply reminds you they do not define you.
Parts Work Invitation
What part of you fears being judged?
The one that braces,
that expects condemnation,
that believes any misstep means banishment.
Let that part be met now by Al-Ḥakam.
Let it hear:
I have weighed your soul
and still chosen you.
I have seen the mess
and still held open My arms.
Let this part know:
You are not on trial.
You are being healed.
The Judge is not here to strike you down,
but to lift you into balance.
Into truth.
Into wholeness.
You can stop defending.
You are already understood.
