Al-Mudhill (ٱلْمُذِلُّ)

The Dishonourer, The Humiliator of the Arrogant, The Remover of False Elevation

Pronounced: al-Mu-DHILLRoot: ذ-ل-ل (Dh-L-L) — to lower, to make humble, to expose the false, to remove undeserved pride

Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلْمُذِلُّ

Sacred Reflection

Al-Mudhill is not the One who destroys your dignity.

He is the One who tears down what pretended to be it.

This Name only comes

when something false

has built a throne inside you,

a throne made of ego, image, superiority, or control.

And He, in mercy,

says:

This must fall.

In Sufi knowing, Al-Mudhill is not wrathful in rage.

He is precise in love.

He removes false crowns

so the soul can remember it was never a king.

He lets the tower fall

so you can kneel again

and feel the earth of your true belonging.

He dishonors only that which was never holy to begin with,

status built on injustice,

power stolen,

image worshipped.

To be humbled by Al-Mudhill

is not to be cursed.

It is to be returned

to the ground where real worth begins.

Parts Work Invitation

What part of you fears humiliation?

The one that clings to performance,

needs to be seen a certain way,

fears being exposed as less than.

Let that part be met now by Al-Mudhill.

Let it know:

What is being removed

was never you.

Only the mask.

This is not shame.

This is sacred unraveling.

Let this part hear:

You are not falling from love.

You are falling back into it.

Let it rest in the knowing that you do not have to uphold your image.

You are safe to be human.

Safe to be humbled.

Safe to be real.

The God who removes false honor

is the same God who once crowned you with light.

And He will do so again

when the mask is gone.
