Al-Muntaqim (ٱلْمُنتَقِمُ)The Avenger, The One Who Delivers Justice, The One Who Rights the Wrong
Pronounced: al-Mun-ta-QEEMRoot: ن-ق-م (N-Q-M), to take vengeance, to avenge, to turn justice upon the unjust.
Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلْمُنتَقِمُ
Sacred Reflection
Al-Muntaqim is the One who carries the scales of justice, not as a judge far away,
but as a Being whose balance is sacred.
He is the One who sees every wound, every betrayal, every cruelty done in secret,
and nothing escapes His reckoning.
But His vengeance is not angry.
It is divine.
It is the energy that restores the dignity of the wounded,
that sweeps away injustice with the clarity of sunlight burning through fog.
In Sufi knowing, Al-Muntaqim is the righteous tide returning to a polluted shore,
the undertow that pulls deception into light,
that cleanses what hid in darkness too long.
He doesn’t hold anger in human patterns.
He holds justice in cosmic rhythm.
He remembers every tear.
He times every reveal.
He balances every ledger.
This Name is not meant to terrify.
It is meant to uplift the broken.
To assure the small, the oppressed, the hidden.
That love is not naïve.
Mercy is not weakness.
And truth will not sink into silence forever.
When the helpless feel invisible.
When bodies scream “Enough.”
When souls cry for reckoning,
Al-Muntaqim becomes the echo of Heaven reminding:
No wound is lost.
No injustice is forgotten.
No innocence is left without recompense.
He does not avenge to glorify suffering
.He avenges to restore balance.
To heal what was broken by cruelty.
To return honor where shame tried to settle.
Parts Work Invitation
What part of you cries for justice?
The one that remembers every wound, every betrayal, every moment you were silenced, hurt, unseen.
Let that part be met by Al-Muntaqim.
Let it feel the justice that does not destroy, but restores.Let it hear:
“You are not forgotten.Every tear flows into the scales.Every cry echoes in the halls of mercy.”
Let this part release its bitterness. Not out of surrender, but out of trust.
Trust that you do not have to carry revenge. You do not have to enact justice yourself.Because justice belongs to the One who sees through all veils. The One whose balance is perfect. The One whose vengeance is love returned.
Let that part soften, not with forgetting, but with the peace of knowing:what was broken will be mended. What was stolen will be returned. What was wounded will be honored.
You do not have to stay heavy.
You only have to rest in the justice
that bends toward the broken heart
and does not let go.
