Al-Mutakabbir (ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ)
The Supremely Great, The Majestic, The One Who is Above All
Pronounced: al-Mu-ta-KAB-birRoot: ك-ب-ر (K-B-R) — to be great, to be vast, to be beyond
Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ
Sacred Reflection
Al-Mutakabbir is the Name that reminds you:
You are not the center of the universe.
And that is not a threat.
It is a liberation.
His greatness is not comparative.
He is not bigger than you.
He is beyond everything.
Beyond comprehension.
Beyond form.
Beyond containment.
This is not the arrogance of humans.
This is the limitlessness of God.
In Sufi knowing, Al-Mutakabbir is the Divine so vast, so holy, so pure
that no veil can touch Him,
no ego can grasp Him,
no hand can hold Him.
He does not come down to argue.
He radiates Majesty in a way that makes all lesser illusions
fall to their knees in quiet awe.
And yet, this Greatness is not far from you.
It lives within you too.
Not to inflate you,
but to remind you that your worth does not come from proving.
You are already a reflection of something immense.
Let Al-Mutakabbir stretch your soul
out of the prison of smallness.
Let Him lift you,
not in ego,
but in sacred remembrance.
Parts Work Invitation
What part of you needs to feel in control to feel worthy?
The one that postures,
performs,tries to be the best,
tries to be unshakable
because it is afraid of disappearing.
Let that part kneel before Al-Mutakabbir.
Not in shame.
In surrender.
Not because it failed to be big enough,
but because it was never meant to carry the weight of Majesty.
Let that part exhale its performance.
Let it hear:
You don’t have to be great.
You come from Greatness.
I am Vast.
You are safe inside My Vastness.
Let it soften into the truth that it does not have to dominate, win, or control,
because there is already One who holds it All.
And He is not letting you fall.
