Al-Qawiyy (ٱلْقَوِيُّ)
The All-Strong, The Source of Power, The One of Absolute Might
Pronounced: al-qa-WIYY Root: ق-و-ي (Q-W-Y) — to be strong, firm, powerful, unshakable
Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلْقَوِيُّ
Sacred Reflection
Al-Qawiyy is not just strong.
He is Strength itself.
Not borrowed.
Not reactive.
Not dependent on conditions.
He is the kind of strength that does not announce itself because it does not need to.
It simply is.
Foundational.
Elemental.
Certain.
In Sufi knowing, Al-Qawiyy is not brute force.
He is the sacred might that holds all things steady.
The strength beneath your structure.
The breath beneath your breaking.
The pillar beneath your collapse.
He is the reason gravity stays.
The reason atoms hold.
The reason your body, somehow, still rises after nights that almost undid you.
When you feel weak, He is not disappointed.
When you fall apart, He is not threatened.
He does not require your strength in order to arrive.
He brings His.
Al-Qawiyy lends might to the weary without mocking their frailty.
He does not shame your trembling.
He shelters it.
And slowly, quietly, faithfully,
He strengthens you from the inside,
until what once overwhelmed you no longer defines you.
Parts Work Invitation
What part of you feels too weak to go on?
The one that says,
“I can’t take one more thing.”
“I’m barely holding on.”
“If I let go even for a second, everything will break.”
Let that part be met now by Al-Qawiyy.
Let it hear:
“You do not have to hold yourself together.
That was never your job.
I am the strength beneath your survival.
And I am not going anywhere.”
Let it feel:
This is not the strength that demands toughness.
This is the strength that wraps around your collapse.
You are allowed to break.
You are allowed to tremble.
You are allowed to say, “I can’t,”
and still be held.
Let this part unclench.
Let it loosen its grip.
Let it feel what it is like to fall and not be destroyed.
Al-Qawiyy is not waiting for you to become strong.
He is strength in your place.
Strength for you.
Strength within you.
Strength around you.
Let this part rest in the knowing:
You were never expected to carry it all.
You are carried.
Now.
Always.
