Al-Wahhāb (ٱلْوَهَّابُ)
The Supreme Bestower, The Constant Giver of Gifts
Pronounced: al-Wah-HĀBRoot: و-ه-ب (W-H-B) — to give freely, to bestow, to grant without expectation
Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلْوَهَّابُ
Sacred Reflection
Al-Wahhāb is the One who gives
not because you deserve it,
but because He delights in giving.
He is the Giver of Gifts, not once,
but constantly.
Endlessly.
Without being diminished.
He does not give out of pity.
He gives out of overflow.
In Sufi knowing, Al-Wahhāb is the breath of God that keeps offering,
life, beauty, moments of rest,
glimpses of joy,
healing you didn’t ask for,
oftness you thought you’d never feel again.
He is not a vending machine.
He is Presence pouring in all directions,
even when you are too numb to say thank you.
This is the Name that says:
You don’t need to earn Me.
You need only to receive.
Even when you turn away,
He gives.
Even when you curse Him,
He gives.
Even when you feel undeserving,
He gives, not because you are worthy,
but because He is generous.
Parts Work Invitation
What part of you is afraid to receive without earning?
The one that says,
“It’s too much.”
“I haven’t done enough.”
“Love like this always costs something.”
Let that part open its trembling hands
and be met by Al-Wahhāb.
Let it hear:
I give not because of what you have done.
I give because of who I am.
Let this part feel a kind of love
that asks for nothing in return.
Let it be given to,
without debt.
Let it be filled,
without having to pour back.
Let it know:
You were not meant to survive on scraps.
You were meant to be lavished.
Al-Wahhāb gives to you
because you exist.
And that alone
is enough.
