The Minor Arcana are the cards most tarot spreads are actually made of: forty numbered cards across the suits of Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles, which spent centuries as near-blank suit patterns before the artist Pamela Colman Smith gave every one of them a full pictured scene in 1909, drawing on a one-of-a-kind Renaissance deck and a century of card-readers' meanings before her. The angle of this course is the tradition's own best secret: each suit tells one continuous ten-card story, and once you know the story, forty cards stop being a memorization chore and become a language you can recognize. This course is one of four that together teach the whole deck; the Tarot course opens the system, and the Major Arcana and Court Cards courses each have their own deep dive.
This course teaches the Minor Arcana pure to itself, with no other systems blended in. It's written in plain, emotionally relatable language anyone can follow, whether you've read cards for years or this is your very first step. It isn't a reading service or religious instruction, and it never tells anyone their future; it's the cards themselves, their imagery, their traditional meanings, and their real history, taught so you can actually understand them. Each module offers clear teaching, real-life illustrations, and an honest telling of both the tradition's own story and its true history. This course is self-paced, with no tests, exams, or homework.
