Ar-Raqīb (ٱلرَّقِيبُ)
The Watchful, The Ever-Observant
Pronunciation: ar-Raqīb Root: ر-ق-ب (R-Q-B) — to watch, to observe, to guard, to keep vigil
Original Invocation (Arabic Calligraphy):ٱلرَّقِيبُ
Sacred Reflection
He sees the moment before it happens.
He watches not with suspicion, but with care.
Not to catch you in wrongdoing,
but to never let you be unseen.
Ar-Raqīb watches the trembling of your hand
as you reach toward something brave.
He watches the tears you will not let fall.
He watches the part of you that wants to run,
and the part that stays anyway.
You have never once suffered alone.
Not once broken in silence unaccompanied.
Even when it felt like no one was there,
Ar-Raqīb was.
Noticing.
Witnessing.
Remaining.
This is not surveillance.
This is divine attention.
The kind that says:
I see you.
am still here.
Parts Work Invitation
What part of you has felt invisible?
The one unnoticed in its pain.
Unseen in its effort to survive.
Let that part sit now in the gaze of Ar-Raqīb.
Let it be watched with love,
not judgment.
Let it feel the sacred difference
between being monitored
and being witnessed.
You might imagine His gaze
like a warm light resting on your chest,
saying without words:
I see the ache beneath the armor.
Let your parts know:
They were never alone in the dark.
