☯️Welcome to the I Ching (Book of Changes) Course for Everyday People
The I Ching is the oldest book in the world that people still ask questions of. No single author wrote it: it grew in layers across a thousand years of ancient China, from the diviners of the Zhou dynasty to the commentators who turned their manual into a philosophy, though the tradition lovingly credits it to four legendary sages, Fu Xi, King Wen, the Duke of Zhou, and Confucius himself. Built from just two kinds of line that combine into eight trigrams and exactly sixty-four hexagrams, it carries one patient idea at its heart: change is the only constant, and wisdom is learning to move with it. It has fascinated emperors and farmers, Leibniz and Jung, and it is still being consulted today, one question at a time.
This course teaches the I Ching pure to itself, with no other systems blended in, and it's written in plain, emotionally relatable language anyone can follow, whether you've read the book for years or this is your very first step. It isn't a reading service or religious instruction; it's the system itself, its symbols, its meanings, and its real history, taught so you can actually understand it. Each module offers clear teaching, real-life illustrations, and an honest telling of both the tradition's own story and what scholarship says beside it.
This course is self-paced, with no tests, exams, or homework. Feel free to go through it in order, or jump around to whatever interests you most.
