Death in the World's Religions Course for Everyday People

  • 2 min read
A person stands at the center of a stone pathway that divides into multiple directions across a sunlit landscape, facing a crossroads marked by a simple wooden signpost. Each path leads toward a different sacred structure representing major world religions, including a Gothic church, a domed mosque, the Golden Temple, a Hindu temple, and a multi-tiered Buddhist pagoda. Wildflowers, greenery, and lanterns line the pathways, while warm daylight streams through dramatic clouds above distant mountains. The image symbolizes the personal journey of exploring different spiritual traditions and seeking the worldview about death, meaning, and the afterlife that feels most authentic and resonant.

Welcome to the Death in the World's Religions Course for Everyday People

What happens when we die? It is the oldest question we have, and every religion on Earth grew up around it, each one leaving behind its own map of what lies beyond the last breath. Most of us only ever inherit one of those maps, or none at all. This course lays them out side by side, one tradition at a time, each taught on its own terms and never measured against another, with the confusing parts gently cleaned up, so you can finally see what each of the world's great faiths actually believes happens next, and notice which map speaks to you.

This course is written in plain, emotionally human language anyone can follow, whether you've studied religion for years or are opening your very first lesson on it. It isn't theology school or clinical training; it's real knowledge you can carry into your own life and into your time with the people you love, whichever path brought you here. Each module offers clear teaching, real-life examples, and the honest depth these traditions deserve, and every lesson ends with a gentle IFS and parts work exercise so you can begin working with what you learn right away.

This course is self-paced, with no tests, exams, or homework. Feel free to go through it in order, or jump around to whatever interests you most.
