Welcome to the Free Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Course for Everyday People

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy — CBT, said as the three letters C-B-T rather than as a word, was developed in the 1960s by psychiatrist Aaron T. Beck and is now one of the most extensively researched and widely practiced psychological approaches in the world. Its central insight is that situations do not cause feelings, our interpretations of them do, and the loops of thought and behavior that produce most everyday suffering can be made visible, examined, and changed.

This course teaches pure CBT, with no other modalities blended in, and is written in plain, emotionally relatable language for everyday people not as clinical training for therapists. Each module offers clear teaching, real-life examples, practical tools, and simple practices you can use in daily life.
